Dedicated in 1892, this church stands at the corner of Bowne Street and Roosevelt Avenue. It serves two congregations which merged in 1970.
Of particular interest are the church's stained glass windows. These were designed by a life-long congregation member and long time Tiffany artist, Agnes Fairchild Northrup. The windows were made by the Louis Tiffany Glass Company of Corona.
Today, there is an ongoing debate about the future of this church: To demolish it, and develop the land; or to preserve it. |
