Bowne House Celebrates Juneteenth

 

Our guided tours of Bowne House will highlight Black History in Flushing from the 17th century onwards, including the 19th-century Abolitionist Movement and local anti-slavery activism. To further understand this history, visitors will be able to view copies of historic documents, archival materials, and ephemera.

Also on view will be two Juneteenth-inspired quilts made by fiber artist and professional quilter Thadine Wormly.

Tour Start Times: 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, and 3:15pm

Admission: $10 per Adult; $8 per Student with a valid school I.D.; $5 for Youth under 14 years; Free for Members
